I've been in the band for five years. I joined when I was 8 years old. I originally came to Marxmen to join the Colour Guard but whilst looking around I was given a trumpet. So for the next few months I learnt to play the trumpet :)
While being part of the Marxmen I have done lots of different things, we do; carnivals; competitions; trips; days out; and finally we do things outside of band as a group.
While being in the band I have made loads of new friends. It is good to mix with people your age but also people of different ages and we all come together like one big family.
I look forward to band because I enjoy seeing everybody and having a good chat. But, when it comes to working we all knuckle down and try our best. We enjoy music and really enjoy band. Also, I really enjoy music and it's great fun! :D
